Artist Statement

God has frequently impressed upon me the importance of remembering that we are not of this world, but rather children of the living God sent for a time to dwell here and live out our destinies. I believe that each of us has a call, a destiny that God has placed us here to fulfill which we are prepared for all our lives. One of the greatest threats to our purpose is to become distracted by the world and to allow trials to drag us down into discouragement and lethargy.

Too often we get distracted by life and forget why we are here, what we have been called to.

I believe that artistic ability is a way for the Spirit of God to speak through us. I know that part of my call is to use art to remind others of their destiny, to urge them to press off the distractions of the world and step up as the powerful Warrior Bride of Christ.

My goal through all of my work is to be a reminder and an encouragement that we have a greater destiny which must remain our focus despite the distractions and fires we face.

I see the spiritual realm much as Plato saw enlightenment. I believe the reality that we know is a shadow of the truth that lies beyond. We are never alone, the heavenly realm surrounds us and more each day I see it breaking through. In dreams, visions, and through new eyes God is allowing us to see pieces of the truth.

I hope that you will be encouraged by my work, but even more I hope that you will catch glimpses of the nature of God.

" for you were born for such a time as this. "
